Pre-Dog Counseling
$60.00
ALL puppies are cute...but choosing the right breed (or predominant breed in a mix) can make the difference between Happily-Ever-After and Nightmare on YOUR street! 
We'll spend an hour with you and your family determining what breed or breeds would fit in your life. Afterwards, you'll receive a written report with the breeds that best match as well as a $60 voucher towards training (private lessons).

               

 

 

Puppy Temperament Testing

For individuals: $20.00 -- includes evaluation and written assessment sent within one week of evaluation so you can plan your training program and utilize the puppy's natural assets!

 

For breeders: $75.00 -- includes travel within 60 miles of Cobleskill, New York, evaluation of up to 10 puppies and written assessment sent within 48 hours of evaluations (via email). Additional puppies are $5.00 extra.

**If you're outside the 60-mile radius, you have two options:

1:  Schedule the test at my home office in Cobleskill, NY

2: Test in your home area and pay the $0.40 per mile travel consideration.

Would you know how to treat your pet in an emergency? How would you know if your dog is in distress? The goal of canine first aid is to protect both owners and their dogs from further harm, injury or suffering during emergencies by teaching prompt, effective actions and care that will safeguard the life of the injured pet.

In this seminar you will learn:

·         To identify what is an emergency

·         To understand how to find out what is “normal” for your dog.

·         Explain how and when to call for emergency assistance for an injured pet.

·         What are the signs of shock and how to care for it.

·         What are the signs of sudden illness such as poisoning, seizures, insect stings, allergic reactions, bloat and heat and cold emergencies and how to care for them.

·         Learn about canine Mouth-to-Nose Resuscitation & CPR

·         How to move an injured pet.

$40 per person includes continental breakfast and lunch.

Canine First Aid kits may be pre-ordered for $30 each.

Dr. Anneta Caster, DVM grew up in Kansas and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She moved to Albany in 2006 and has been exploring the Northeast since. She has two dogs and three cats and enjoys spending time with them as well as traveling, movies and live music.
